After buying everything I needed last year, this year I have been dry.
I think the most i have purchased was my bug bait for the first time.
As for a wishlist i really dont want (less face it you never need) anything to keep me going.
I do want to get back on a syndicate from april so chances are i will do that just so i always have a lake to visit. there are a few in the area, some over well over capacity and others are all 45min-1hr drive to reach but thats the disadvantange of where I live. 5minutes from the beach for sea fishing and 1hr for carp.
so last year i wanted to Sonik rod pod and i did buy it, it does the job as all rod pods should, it fits my 9ft and 12ft rods with no issue and gives me a nice compact look.
it fits perfectly in the sonik backpack so and i can leave my alarms attached and it all starts compact and makes it easy to have one bag that rules all my sessions.
The Van - so i have done nothing to the van, had a clutch master cylinder break for a tasty £670 price tag. After much consideration i am going to keep it the same inside, maybe tart the wooden paneling up and lay some kitchen lino that i can just replace if needed. after using the van to carry work equipment and doing recycling runs i know any money spent in the back would be get ruined by the other junk that i am throwing in.
This was replaced with ESP Syncro XT 15lb line which has been good, lays well on the reels and casts smoothly, i will be in France in October so i will give this a go with some long casts and bring in some 50lb+ i hope.
The garage is still the same, i have my rods on the wall (non-carp) and i have made some more space so i will get some picture at the end of the year with a semi-finished design but i am not putting any money into this in 2026, just having it tidy is good enough.
