So, there’s not a huge amount to say just yet. The SK-47 gear has been spot on and casts like a dream. Shame I haven’t had anything waiting on the other end so far.

The OMC boilie grinder has been brilliant too. It’s probably done a good 10kg of boilies and pellets already and it’s still going strong.

As for the bivvy, I took the Solar one with me to France since the AXS-V2 hadn’t arrived yet. The Solar did its bit — it’s a lot warmer with a proper door, and the groundsheet held up much better than the Westlake. Can’t knock it really, especially as it was a freebie for spending over £500 at Total Fishing Tackle. I’m really looking forward to getting the Sonik bivvy delivered so I can have the full Sonik setup and start spamming TikTok with it all.
On the cooking side, the Sizla cooker has been great, and the saucepan is just as good. Nothing sticks, everything cooks evenly, and with all the little silicone tools keeping things protected, I reckon it’ll all last a long time.

And saving the best for last, the van. I’ve got a lovely Volkswagen Caddy Maxi with decent mileage and age, and it drives really well. I’ve got loads of plans to turn it into the perfect fishing van, although so far I’ve done absolutely nothing to it. The best bit is how easily all my gear fits in, and there’s room for plenty more, so I can just leave it in the van, you know, just in case.

All in all, it’s been my most expensive fishing year to date. Not sure I’ll top it next year, and I don’t think I’m going to try.
