As expected my gear has changed again. Sonik SK-TEK is no more! they have rebranded to BANK-TEK. This was a big moment for me as it meant i had to rush around and purchase all the SK-TEK branded gear before it was lost.
So i did what i had to do:
-Sonik SK-TEK Large Carryall (bringing me up to 2x)
-Sonik SK-TEK Medium Carryall (electronic bag)
-Sonik SK-TEK 12ft 3 Rod Holdall
-Sonik SK-TEK large Pouch
-Sonik SK-TEK Medium Pouch
-Sonik SK-TEK Small Pouch
-Nash 17ltr Bucket
-6x NGT banksticks
-Trakker Levelite Longback Recliner Chair
-Advanta 6000 Baitrunner Reel (Pink Rod)
-Diawa 20lb Hypersensor Steel Mono (love this line)
-Ridgemonkey PowerPack (Competition Winner)
-Trakker Bivvy Fan (Competition Winner)
-Korda Tackle Box full of tackle (Competition Winner)
-Green Frying Pan
-Camping Cooker
-Carpy Kettle
-ND Bobbins T3 Pro set
so now i have full matching luggage and a nice new chair that is comfortable enough to sleep in. For me i have competed a section of carp fishing which is to arrive with machine luggage on the barrow.
With my SK-TEK set completed as fast as possible due to the brand change, i have plenty of bags for every occasion. There were issues getting hold of it, from getting bags that had factory issues and sellers just sending the BANK-TEK or the budget Sonik items.
After my dissapointment with the sub-sonik line, i purchased 20lb Diawa Hypersensor for my 12ft rods, this has been great for France as the Sturgeons snap 15lb line for fun but with the Diawa it held up and kept the quality feel so i will stick with this going forwards. My 9fts have stuck with the purple Wychwood line which i used today and its still great to use.
the 17ltr bucket and bank sticks were to just complete sets so i have options to take mix up bait and rod placements, nothing to review for these as they do their job
Trakker Levelite has been a dream to use, the pack down size is a little awkward as it has a curved seat that makes the chair a little more bulky, but it is really light and comfortable.
The advanta baitrunner i have not used yet, its for the fun pink rod as the reel has lost its lock on the drag. I will update this when the reel has been used.
I won some compititions lately and all of it i haved used. the ridgemonkey battery is brilliant, it has a wireless charger so no need to bring cables for the phones. The Bivvy fan was perfect in summer and also in colder weather when blowing the mozzie coils around to keep the smoke out of my eyes. Then comes the Korda tackle box fully stocked, it has pushed my to downsize alot which is good but the downside is it looks so nice that i dont want to use the items in it and i feel i am locked to Korda now to keep it looking good. It is all great kit and getting it for a few tickets compared to full price makes it even better.
The ND bobbins were a quick purchase as my purple Sonik bobbin snapped as the cable holding it freyed and snapped. I used them today and given they are very large, they are lighter than my Soniks so they are now used only on my 9ft rods.
The cooking items, the cooker and frying pan were purchased in France for a large steak dinner that no other pan or cooker could handle. The Carpy kettle was a fathers day gift so i could split my 24hr and weekend+ bands without switching items in the middle.
